For 30 years, the Voices for Children Foundation has provided funding to support the Miami-Dade guardian ad litem program. The program, “GAL” for short, and its court-appointed adults, serve as the voice in court of abused, abandoned or neglected children in the local foster care system. We focus on what “GAL” is. who can become one, why it is so important top so many young unheard voices.
